Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about plissé fly screens, measuring and installation.
What is a plissé fly screen?
A plissé (pleated) fly screen is a mesh folded like an accordion that slides open and closed on a slim guide rail. When open, it folds into a narrow side profile, so it’s almost invisible.
Is the measurement really free?
Yes. We visit your home, measure every opening and give you a firm quote with no obligation. The online calculator gives you an approximate price beforehand.
How long does it take from measurement to installation?
Production usually takes one to three weeks depending on the season and the number of screens. We confirm the installation date when you accept the quote.
Which colours are available?
White and anthracite are our standard colours. Other RAL colours are available for a small surcharge, so the screen matches your window frames.
Do plissé screens resist the wind?
Yes. Tensioning cords inside the mesh keep the pleats steady, and for large terrace openings we use reinforced profiles. Like any fly screen, we recommend closing it fully during very strong levante.
How do I clean them?
Use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment on the mesh, and a damp cloth on the profiles. No special products are needed.
Do you need to drill into my window frames?
In most cases the profiles are fixed with a few small screws inside the opening. We always discuss the fixing method with you during the free measurement.
Is the calculator price final?
No. The calculator gives an estimated range including VAT. The final price is confirmed after the free measurement, once we have checked the exact sizes and fixing conditions.
